Yellowstone Day 3: Tuesday, Old Faithful and Geysers

We started our day at the West Thumb Geyser Basin.

We found some very cool footprints in bacterial mats around the geysers.

Ari was quite content catching a ride.

We tried To have them take a ride in the stroller, but that didn't last long. Here's Jana trying to climb out...
And here's Kara doing her best to try to stand up in the stroller.
Jana enjoying a ride on Daddy's shoulders.Kara was very interested in the pools.
There goes that monkey again!
Umm... Probably not a good idea, kiddo!

Ari, Uncle Patrick and Grandpa enjoying some of the thermal features.

Ari was trying to let us know that it was time to go!

A little wildlife along the way.
A very big Bison hanging out roadside.

We had lunch on the deck at Old Faithful.

(And no, I didn't dress the girls alike. I dressed Kara first and as soon as Jana saw what Kara was wearing, she insisted on matching!)

Uncle Brian and Cousin Lindsay at Old Faithful.
This is the closest we came to a family picture the whole trip! Waiting for Old Faithful to go off.
Mama and Jana watching the eruption.

Kara watching the eruption.
Kara was so fascinated with Old Faithful. It looks like she's trying to reach out for it!

And a few more animals...
