Daddy's "100 Miles of No Where" plus 171.5

Daddy did his amazing fundraiser again this year. Last year we thought he was nuts doing 178 miles, but this year he proved to be even more nuts and did 271.5 miles. This year he did it at the Riverfront Park on his bike up on the trainer. So, he literally went no where! :-)

However, this setting allowed the girls to have more fun, since he was situated between the carousel and the playground.

Here's Daddy's set up.

He was starting to have a little less fun as he hit 100 miles. He even had his own cheering section.
We did take a break and play. First we headed to the playground and then to the carousel. Jana wasn't so sure at first, but then warmed up to the horse quickly.

Kara started out okay at first...
And then was so not okay! She insisted on getting off the horse.
Jana had a great time and now loves the carousel.
Kara was much better once we sat on the bench. She also loves the carousel... as long as she doesn't have to sit on a horse.

We headed home for naps and then came back to support Daddy as he finished. But of course, we needed to go on the carousel one more time.
We were fortunate enough to have some friends join us for some playtime.
Jana, Tonya, and Emma.

Daddy was able to finish all 271.5 miles (made it an even 273 miles) and we the girls and Mama had a great day too.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We were fortunate to be joined by Uncle Patrick, Auntie Sarah, Ari, Uncle Sean, Auntie Meg, and of course the adorable Quenton.

The weekend started with an Easter Egg hunt at the girls' school.

Next we all took a trip to the pool. The girls had a blast swimming together.

Then came the Easter Egg decorating at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Quenton was a little too small to help, but Kara decided he needed a kiss because "he's soooo cute!"

Coloring the eggs.

Adding the stickers after the eggs dried.
Then the actual Easter Day.

Kara was ready to go.

All the grandkids.

Another attempt at a grandkid pictures.

We had a Rockband-a-thon. The girls asked how they could play too, so we told them we neede back up dancers. :-)
Even Quenton got in on it.

More eggs?
The sweet Arianna.

Lots of pictures

We've had a lot of fun while being so busy.

We've had the chance to go to the park more often with the weather getting nicer.

We even took our first trip out for ice cream. Apparently, we've never done ice cream cones before. Oops! :-)
Another trip to the park. It's so fun to watch them play together and to see what they are able to do they they couldn't last time.

We were even able to take a trip to our favorite park with Grammy and Papa.

I think our girls are going on their teenage years earlier and earlier. This was Kara's response to me trying to get her up.
Our sweet girls playing in the sand box on a nice Spring day.
We took a trip to REI a few weeks ago and the girls had a blast.

The girls have been into playing "sleep over". This was Jana's sign "Welcome to Jana's Sleep over". She still hasn't mastered the whole - letter order thing, but cute nonetheless.

Daddy's almost done with the playhouse, so we had our first pretend/real picnic out there.

This was one of those moments when I realized that my baby isn't a baby anymore!

We've discovered that Kara's a lefty. She keeps moving the mouse to her left hand.

You never know what you're going to find when it gets quiet upstairs. I found Jana in different clothes, with the umbrella, wearing her leprachan hat. hee, hee! Could be worse, right?
The girls on one of our trips to the top of the hill to ride bikes.
We even made cupcakes.... or at least I think those are cupcakes under all those sprinkles.

Last weekend we discovered the hard way that the childcare at my work doesn't open until 9:00, when my class starts at 8:30. Ooops! Thankfully one of my coworkers was nice enough to play with the girls. The girls had a blast!

We are having more and more moments like this! Peacefully playing side by side. Unfortunately we're also having more moments of them fighting! Ha! I guess that's part of being siblings, right? My little princesses on Mother's Day morning.
