How did my little, tiny preemie get to be so big?
We are having a good time these days (except for the temper tantrums - ugh!)
She's coming up with the funniest comments these days.
I went to dress her the other day and pulled out a shirt, to which she responded:
"Oooooh! Pretty princess Jana." (Where on earth did she get that?)
Now when Kara has a toy that Jana wants, we hear:
"That's not your Sissy. That's mine. Here!" and she'll yank it away. (I'm so glad we scolded
the dog for taking Jana's ball now (Not your ball, Maiya). Okay, not really!)
The other day we went to the gym and one of the ladies comment on how cute Jana's shirt was. Jana responded with:
"It's not a shirt. It's an outfit." (What the ?!?!?!?!)
She also declares on the top of her lungs, for the whole neighborhood to hear if we happened to miss picking up some of the dog poo (which is our first job when we go outside to play now!):
"Ewwwww. Stinky doggy poopy! Pick it up, Mommy"
She's a yogurt addict these days. She'll eat two of this size containers for breakfast. Good grief! Here she is "a-drinkin' the yogurt."
My latest adventure was trying to buy a new climber/slide for Jana for our backyard. Why you ask? Because the old one needs to go. Here is her newest favorite activity with the old slide.
The take off...
And the landing.
This kid has NO fear!
You'd think with a larger climber she'd get into more trouble, but it seems to be big enough (for now) to make her a bit more cautious.
She loves this so much! She wants to spend every waking moment out there - or at least every moment going in and out of the sliding door to go play on it. She loves to put all kinds of things down the slide: her bear, her big dump truck, her matchbox cars, rocks, her jacket, anything.
The funniest thing about this new toy is that Dada was worried that she'll get too big for it and bored with it too soon. I think we have a while as we have to put an upside down bucket below the platform so she can use it as a step - she can't reach to climb up on her own. :-)
She also discovered yesterday that she could climb though the holes in the side. (Notice the feet sticking out.)
And the dog wanted to go too, but she's a bit too big.
