I struggled to find pictures of this last month that weren't already posted. While we have hundreds of pictures, they are all action shots, because this child does not sit still. She used to love to give "cheeses" for pictures, but now she doesn't want to slow down.
She's been very into dancing this month. Here's our little dancer:
Showing off her "Olivia shirt." She loves to tell people that she's wearing a hand-me-down. Apparently because it was someone else's it makes it that much more special.
She also has a fascination with rocks right now. We have some pea gravel along the side of the house - where the old owners had their dog run. That's her favorite. We find pea gravel everywhere. But, she's started taking a liking to bigger rocks. I foresee many pet rocks in our future!
This is one of Mama's favorite thing that Jana's started doing this month.
Because Mama still wear Kara in the Baby Bjorn, Jana insists on wearing a jacket so she can carry one of her friends, too.
She has also taken a liking to some of her sister's stuffed friends. This is Kara's monkey. From the beginning, we've always referred to this as "Sissy's monkey." Apparently Jana thinks that is the monkey's name, not possession because she'll say "My sissy's monkey." Oops!
We've started running to the gym in the mornings (as we should because it's less than a mile away!). Jana loves this stroller. If we leave the door open to the garage, we'll find her sitting in it. This picture was too funny as she pulled Dada's big bike repair book into the stroller with her and sat down to look at the pictures.
It seems like her vocabulary is enormous these days. Here are some of her favorite sayings:
* Ar Matey (anytime she sees anything that she can relate to pirates)
* Throw it high in the air with the clouds (as we play fetch with the dog most afternoons)
* Dancer Gee-na (she repeats over and over as she dances in circles until she's dizzy)
* MMMM! It's delicious Mommy!
* Plant a garden, Mommy? (we get this question every afternoon because she wants to plant more plants in our garden everyday.)
* The plants are drinking!" (as we water)
* Stupid Mommy (oops, apparently she learned that word and how to use it in the correct context.)
* Call a Grampa-Grampa and Gramma, peez Mommy! (every morning she wants to call them!)
* What you doing, Mommy?
* Where are you, Mommy? (She likes to say both of these over and over and over, even if it is obvious what I'm doing and if I'm sitting next to her.)
* Say it louder! (another thank you Diego!)
* Bye. Have fun at school!
* I miss you so much.
* Not yours ____. That's Gee-na's.
