Garden

We decided last summer, after enjoying the fruits of our friends' labor, that it was time for a garden - especially now with the prices of things.

We have 7 different kinds of tomatoes. We're trying to figure out what will work in our little patch. We also have green peppers, golden bell peppers, sweet banana peppers, and cucumbers. We couldn't find any red peppers or peas at the farmer's market, so we'll try again in a few weeks.
(Notice the fence around the garden. The first year we had a garden at our old house, the dog "harvested" all of our carrots for us. We would find little carrot tops all over the yard. So, between our two legged and four legged critters, we decided it was best to put up a fence; however, Jana has already figured out how to go around it.

Here's my little helper. She helped me put water in the holes before we planted them and then helped me water after they were in the ground. Such a great helper!
