Thanksgiving Weekend

This year we enjoyed a lovely weekend up North with the S side of the family.

We started our Thanksgiving day with a trip to the neighbor's house to visit "Tom" the turkey.

We attempted to get a picture of all four of the cousins together, but that didn't work out so well. The two big ones decided to pose for us, though.

Then on to the playground we went.

We all struggled with taking turns on the swing, but we managed to get all the kids on for turns with only a few tears.
Jana found a new friend in the "Rocking Froggy". Here she is taking a break after a round of rocking.

Jana also enjoyed the big slide this time - she's been too cautious to try it out until now.
Back to the house we headed for a snack and some naps. I'm always amazed at how much Justin seems to grow each time I see him.... This, however, helped me to realize just how much he has been growing. Here he is with Jana (almost three) and Justin is not yet two. Tyler better watch out or little brother won't be so little soon.

We opted for a casual Thanksgiving dinner - if we were in the formal dining room, it would be far more difficult to keep an eye on kids and dogs while we ate.
After dinner it was time for some crafts. Tyler made these wonderfully neat turkeys with his stickers (he enjoys things neat and orderly); however, our little miss crazy opted to pile all of the feathers onto one turkey. It just about drove Tyler crazy, but he showed fabulous restraint for a 4 year old and resisted the need to "show" her how to do it right.

Our evening ended with Justin and Jana being entertained by Dada showing them pictures on his computer.
