Halloween

This Halloween was fun. Busy, but fun.

Our day started with some breakfast and getting ready to go to Jana's party at her preschool. After two really long days of teaching and parent conferences, Dada had the day off, so we got to spend Halloween all together.

Jana was particularly fascinated with Kara's costume... more specifically, the tail of Kara's costume. She was walking around, holding on to the tail, and Kara was screaming about it.

Can you tell that Kara was a bit unhappy that Jana had her tail?

It was off to Jana's preschool's party. Despite Jana talking for days about how Dada was coming to her party with her, she decided that Mama needed to stay to - meaning Kara needed to stay as well.

Kara had a wonderful time climbing into and out of the cubbies for quite a long time.

Kara was even invited to sit at the snack table with the rest of Jana's class. They brought her some donut holes, although she wouldn't touch them.

Here is Jana's class in their costumes.

Then it was time to head home for lunch and naps. We headed to our friend's church for their carnival. I was really impressed with how it was put together. There were actually games that the girls could play. Kara was more interested in climbing on things than playing games, though.

We got so many comments about how cute Kara was in her costume.

She seemed to have a blast.

We weren't able to actually spend any time with our friends that we went with because the kids were all going in separate directions. Alexis, however, was interested in the games while Kara was not.

Finally, we were off to Grandma and Grandpa's for a little trick or treating. They loved both girls' costumes, but no one could look at Kara without smiling.

And this was as close to a picture of the girls together as we could get.
