Visit to Grammy and Papa's for the 4th

We headed up to Grammy and Papa's for the 4th of July weekend. To get a little extra time with Grammy and Papa, we arrived on the 1st.

With me working so much these days, we don't have much time to relax, but this week was wonderful.

We all got some pool time, even though it was a bit overcast and cool.

Jana was an absolute little fish, so she wanted to stay in the water forever.

Kara tired of the water, so Grammy took her on a walk.

Then we had the wonderful pleasure of spending the 4th with my nephews, who are 4 and 18 months. They are so cute and so good with the girls. It was quite hilarious to watch. Jana followed Tyler around, Justin followed Tyler around and Kara crawled after Justin. They are really fun together and getting better about sharing. :-)

The boys love to play golf, so my girls wanted to play too.

Grammy and Papa had the front law set up for golf and croquet. Kara did get quite frustrated as she couldn't keep up with the others.

Grammy and Papa also have a nice selection of bikes, trikes, and ride on toys. Jana has figured out how to ride a bike, so that was always her first choice.

Then it was time to head down to the playground/practice green. We started at the playground.

Here's Justin showing off his climbing ability. Is he not one of the cutest little guys you've ever seen? His little blond curls are too adorable.

Jana enjoyed the sandbox.

Then we headed over to the practice green, where Tyler was in heaven.

Tyler was focused on golf, while Justin was focused on Tyler's shoes. And Jana loved the flags.

Then we had a bite of lunch and some naps.

During nap time, the guys and Tyler headed out for 9 holes of golf.
This is my absolute favorite picture! "I want to be just like my Dad!"

When everyone was up from their naps, we headed to the pool. Brrrr! It was chilly!

After our visit to the pool, we had some playtime with the cars and trains before dinner.

Justin and Kara watching Jana playing with the train.

Phew! It was a busy day, but it has to end with a little fireworks. The little ones went down early after the fun-packed day, but Jana and Tyler loved the sparklers.

Auntie Laura helped Jana with her first sparklers, ever.

Tyler loved the fireworks, despite sitting with his ears covered the entire time, but Jana didn't make it past the second big one - too much for her.
