Jana: 2 years, 10th month

How is Jana almost 3?

It's so fun to watch her little personality come out. She is strong, confident, opinionated, and stubborn. As Grammy keeps reminding me - everything we want for a teenage girl, but everything that makes a 2 year-old challenging.

She wants her way and when she doesn't get it, wow does she let us know. It's a challenge to deal with her fits, but the bigger challenge is teaching her the difference between right and wrong without squashing that spirit.

Her smile warms our hearts and her giggles are contagious.

She is so funny when it comes to Kara. She always asks if Kara is doing something too. "And Kara, too?"
She wants Kara to play with her.
She loves to tackle, tickle, and hug Kara.

But when it comes to sharing toys or the actual act of doing that something together, it always erupts.

She's becoming such a fashionista! She was so excited to dress up in her holiday outfit as we got ready for pictures. She thinks she's hot stuff in her jacket.

She's also been back into "pretty princess Jana" dresses. Here are a few of her creations.

In the last few months, she has abandoned her 2nd favorite blankie for a new favorite "square blankie" that Mama's friend Michelle made for her. This blanket is the perfect size and shape for a super-hero cape.

So here is "Super Jana."

And finally, Jana has started really trying to draw... and sometimes the pictures actually resemble what she intended to draw. Here is her drawing of a train. Can you see it?
