Busy With Holiday Fun

Phew! It's been a busy couple of weeks.

We've been trying to be productive with our time at home, really enjoy our time together, and take advantage of the holiday season for some fun activities and crafts.

Here are our little elves. Kara loves her Seahawk Santa hat, especially when she gets to match Dada.

Jana loves all hats, so she takes turns wearing her Seahawk Santa hat, the Pooh Santa hat, and the Mickey Santa hat. As a side note, she's been VERY into dressing herself. She wants to wear "Pretty Princess Jana" dresses, but she at least listens to reason about wearing other clothes too since it's cold.

Since our tree is too tall for any of our tree toppers to fit, we decided to make one. We found this "Bell Angel" project and with the addition of an empty TP roll on the back, we made it into a tree topper.
Kara and I stamped and colored the body of the angel while Jana glitter painted the wings, head and bow.

And here is our final product.
Now Jana wants to make a star for the top instead (because all the stories say a star needs to be on top of the tree). We'll see. :-)

One day last week, we decided it was a good day for a picnic lunch in front of the Christmas tree.
Jana reluctantly let Kara join us. :-)

We even watched a little Christmas cartoon to fully get in the mood.
And lastly, completely not related to the holidays, I had to share some pics of Kara with her "piggies". Her hair is not long enough in the front to need to be pulled back, but the top and back get a little unruly since her hair can't decide if it wants to be straight or curly.
